Prof. Simona Binetti, director of the Milano-Bicocca Solar Energy Research Center (Mib-solar), interviewed on perovskites and innovative materials for photovoltaics on BNews, the blog of the University of Milano-Bicocca, published Feb. 20.
Interviewed by Rossella Guido, Prof. Binetti discusses the advantages of perovskite solar cells, particularly useful in tandem cells with silicon modules or on a flexible substrate for vehicles integration, as well as those of thin-film cells such as kesterites, based on inexpensive materials that can potentially be printed via ink-jet printers for easier building integration. Finally, she recalls the research topics of the Mib-solar center, adding to the previous arguments the line on photovoltaics for indoor application, and depicts the future developments related to the MUSA project under the PNRR.
